A Busy Summer, Investment in the Future and Continued Customer Support
There is certainly a feeling across the industry that the market has become increasingly active, and we are grateful for every order that comes through our doors.
The continued confidence our customers place in Evertaut means a great deal to us. We are particularly proud of the significant amount of repeat business we receive year after year. For us, this is one of the strongest indicators that we are delivering the quality, service and reliability our customers expect.
As demand for our British furniture continues to grow, we have also been investing in our manufacturing capabilities to further strengthen quality, efficiency and control throughout our production processes. Recently, we acquired an automatic fabric cutting machine from La-Z-Boy’s former manufacturing operation in Colne following its closure. While it is always sad to see the loss of a long established local employer and manufacturer, we are pleased that this equipment will continue to be used within the region and support the future growth of British furniture manufacturing. The staff at La-Z-Boy have been a pleasure to do business with and we are grateful for the kindness and support they’ve given us.
The new cutting machine will significantly enhance our fabric cutting operations, improving accuracy, consistency and throughput while helping to reduce waste and streamline production. This investment forms part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability and continuous improvement, ensuring we can meet customer demand without compromising on standards.
Alongside this, members of our production team have recently completed CNC training now that the machine has been safely commissioned. Huge, thanks to the incredibly talented and knowledgeable engineer, Eddie, who helped bring our vision to life. Both the wood CNC and fabric cutting machines will broaden our in house capability, providing greater control over production scheduling, improve machining accuracy and repeatability, reduce lead times, increase flexibility for bespoke requirements and further strengthen the quality standards that our customers expect from Evertaut.
